Pearl A Minich

Pearl Arlene (Korn) Minich, 96, of Allentown, passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 surrounded by her family at Complete Care at Lehigh, Macungie. She was the wife of the late Jackie A. Minich, with whom she was married 71 years. Born in Drifton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Emanuel and Eve (Blackwell) Korn. She was a member of the former St. James Lutheran Church, Allentown. She worked for RK Laros in Bethlehem for 15 years, she owned her own alterations business and worked in several sewing factories as a supervisor. Since 1993, Pearl and her late husband Jackie were owners of Minich Jewelers in Allentown. For 22 years, she was a member of Soroptimist International of Allentown, where she held officer of Secretary and President. Pearl enjoyed bingo and crocheting many afghans and stuffed animals for her family. In her younger years, she enjoyed roller skating, where she met her husband Jackie and bus trips with girlfriends. Survivors: daughter Jacqueline, wife of Michael Penkauskas of Alburtis; grandchildren Kristina M., wife of Mark Confer and Clinton M. Penkauskas and his wife Melanie; great grandchildren Jeffrey and Brandon Confer, Carlie and Chase Penkauskas. She was predeceased by her 2 brothers Emanuel and Elias and 2 sisters Celestia Ferraira and Eve O'Toole. Services: 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 2nd, at Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 W. Highland St., Allentown. Calling hour will begin at 10:00 AM. Memorials can be considered in her memory to Lehigh Valley Hospice, c/o the funeral home.
