Peter Sylvester

Peter F. Sylvester of East Norriton and a former long-time resident of Calamia Dr. in Norristown, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 8, 2025. He was 94 years old. Born May 10, 1930 in Conshohocken, he was the son of the late Michael and Maria Silvestri, and the beloved husband of the late Louise Sylvester (nee DiValerio). Peter served his country proudly and was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force. He was an avid bowler and rolled a perfect 300 score at the age of 74. He was a dedicated Phillies fan, enjoyed cruises, loved the casinos and spending time with family. Following the passing of his beloved wife Louise, Peter found love again with his longtime companion, Betty Rittenbaugh, and they enjoyed 25 wonderful years together. Peter touched the lives of everyone he has met throughout his life and has in return received the love of all those who have had the pleasure of making his acquaintance. Peter is survived by his three children; David Sylvester (Mary Anne), Michael Sylvester (Julia) and Diane Radick (Thomas), three grandchildren; Christian (Amanda), Nicholas and Matthew, and two great grandchildren; Rowan and Sol. He is also survived by his loving companion Mary Watson. Peter was preceded in death by his brother Bruno DiDomenic. Relatives and friends are invited to share in Peter's Life Celebration on Tuesday April 15, from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Boyd-Horrox-Givnish of East Norriton, 200 West Germantown Pike, 610-277-7000. His Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 2007 New Hope St. Norristown. Military Honors will be rendered at the conclusion of Mass. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
