Philip F. Manzo

Philip F. Manzo, age 80 of Eldred Township, Saylorsburg, PA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Pocono Hospice House in East Stroudsburg, PA. Philip was the loving husband of Elaine (Borsch) Manzo. They celebrated their 34th Wedding Anniversary on September 8th. Philip earned his master's degree in human relations in Clinical Counseling from New York Institute of Technology in Long Island and specialized in Gambling Counseling. He served our country with dedication and courage in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam war. He also served in the Army National Guard and was discharged in November 1974. He had worked as a Police Officer for New York City Police Department in NY for 20 years, until retiring. We have been blessed with the presence of Philip in our lives. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife: Elaine (Borsch) Manzo of Saylorsburg, PA. nieces: Kathy Buchhofer and spouse Steve, Donna Deterding and spouse Billy, nephews: Robert Schiavinato and spouse Bill, Thomas Schiavinato all of New Jersey, great nephew: Matthew Buchhofer and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and extended family. Philip is also survived by his brothers-in-law: Daniel Borsch and spouse Miriam of CT and John Borsch and spouse Maria of NY. Philip loved his four-legged furry friend: Max IV He was preceded in death by a brother: Robert Schiavinato and sister-in-law: Liz Schiavinato. Funeral services will be held 11 am, Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Gower Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 1426 Route 209, Gilbert, PA. Family and friends are welcome to offer condolence on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, from 10 am until time of service at the funeral home.
