Regina Powell

Regina M. (Suchoza) Powell, 99, of Pottstown, passed away peacefully at Pottstown Tower Health Hospital on Sunday, August 24, 2025. She was the wife of the late Joseph J. Powell. Regina is survived by her three children, Timothy, Anita (Clifford), and Jeffrey (Tammy) Powell, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and numerous step-children and step-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, Joseph, her son, Christopher Powell, and her brother, Joseph Suchoza. As an inaugural member of Pottstown High School student government, she remained engaged by orchestrating reunions for the Class of 1943. Over the course of her life, Regina worked as a nurse and as a catalog salesperson for Sears, while also dedicating much of her life to raising her children. In her free time, Regina enjoyed reading, playing cards, and listening to music. She also loved dancing and going on bus trips with her husband. Regina was also very involved at St. Thomas More Parish, serving as the Choir Director for many years. She will be dearly missed by her family and all those who knew her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at 12:00 PM at St. Thomas More Parish, 2101 Pottstown Pike, Pottstown, PA 19465. A viewing will be held the night before the funeral from 7:00 – 9:00 PM as well as the morning of the funeral from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at Warker-Troutman Funeral Home, 726 E High Street, Pottstown, PA 19464. Burial will follow at St. Aloysius Cemetery, 800 Block of Buchert Road Pottstown, PA 19464. Flowers are welcomed, but contributions may also be made to St. Thomas More Parish at the previously listed address. Warker-Troutman Funeral Home is honored to serve the Powell family.
