Renee Phillips Obituary

Renee F. Phillips, 73 of Slatington, passed away on Monday, May 12, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospital - Carbon Campus in Lehighton. Born March 9, 1952 in Friedens, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late George and Elda (Rex) Phillips. She was a Bus Driver in Slatington and worked in many factories in the area before retiring. Renee enjoyed going to see Elvis impersonator Jeff Crick, playing BINGO, Chinese Auctions, and going out to eat. She especially liked to see her grandson Jacob play with his band. She is survived daughters, Sherry A. wife of Eugene Vargson of Lehighton, and Tanya V. Tuggle and significant other Josh Ruth of Slatington, grandchildren, Jacob, Geno, and Jaime, brother, Gerald Phillips and wife Shirley of Slatington, sister, Donna Handwerk of Walnutport. She was predeceased by sister, Gloria Leiby. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Miller Funeral Home 137 Fairview Street, Lehighton, PA 18235.. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.schislerfuneralhomes.com
