Rose Korkus Obituary

Rose Korkus (nee Paciello), of East Norriton, passed away peacefully at the age of 95, on Thursday, October 9, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She was born on September 28, 1930, in Bridgeport, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Amelia ( Fragale) Paciello. She is survived by her 4 sons Michael Korkus (Jane), George Korkus Jr., Andrew Korkus (Michele), Joseph Korkus (Vickie), 6 grandchildren Michael Korkus Jr (Cheryl), Brooke Parker (Greg), George Korkus III (Marla), Cameryn Witcraft (John), Caitlin Korkus and Cara Korkus. Also, 6 great grandchildren Ella Korkus, Hillary Parker, Hannah Parker, Malina Korkus, Lana Korkus, Callahan Witcraft. Additionally, 4 step grandchildren, Ashly Galanti, Brittany Galanti, Kayla McKeown and preceded in death, Joey Galanti. She has many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 8 sisters and 4 brothers. She lived a long and beautiful life, full of warmth, grace, and quiet strength. A proud mother of four sons, she dedicated her life to nurturing not only her own children but also all those lucky enough to be welcomed into her heart. Her warmth drew people to her, and she made lasting friendships wherever she went, each of whom brought her immeasurable joy. To many, she was more than family-she was a queen, cherished for her wisdom, generosity, and loving presence. In her younger years, she was honored as a Centennial Queen, a reflection of her elegance, poise, and dedication to her community in Bridgeport, PA. She was a woman who found joy in life's simple pleasures: crocheting and knitting beautiful pieces that became treasured heirlooms; baking, especially her famous biscotti and pizzelles which she shared with love; and spending quiet afternoons with puzzles or in the joyful company of children-her greatest delight. Up until her late 80's, she especially enjoyed dancing to the music played by her son's band, often lighting up the room with her joy and graceful movements. She created cherished memories for all who witnessed them. She will be fondly remembered as a woman of kindness, wit, and unwavering love. Her gentle presence, comforting smile, and warm hugs will be missed dearly but never forgotten. Relatives and friends are invited to share in Rose's Life Celebration on Thursday October 16, from 10 AM to 11:15 AM at Boyd-Horrox-Givnish of East Norriton, 200 West Germantown Pike, 610-277-7000.
