Russell W. Hixon

Russell W. Hixon, 79, formerly of Southside, Easton, passed away Monday, July 7, 2025, in Abington Manor. Born January 2, 1946, in Easton, PA, he was a son of the late Andrew J. "Andy" and Florence (Messinger) Hixon. Russ graduated from Easton High School, Class of 1963 and Millersville College. He retired from Ingersoll Rand Company, formerly in Phillipsburg, NJ, where he worked for over 30 years. Russ enjoyed golfing and playing softball. He had been a member of the former St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Russ was a member of the Pomfret Club. Surviving is a son, Richard "Rick" Hixon and his wife Kelly, of Virginia; a daughter, Natalie Hixon, of Ohio; a daughter-in-law, Debra Hixon, of Florida; two brothers, Robert Hixon and David Hixon and his wife Linda, both of Easton; six grandchildren, Thomas and his wife Ines, Corey and Aubrie Hixon, Lawson, Libby and Lucy Ewing; a great-grandson, Teddy; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Christopher Hixon, a brother, Paul Hixon, and a sister, Carol Dorminda. Graveside services will be held at 11am Thursday, July 24th in Hay's Cemetery, 704 Packer Street, Easton. Arrangements are by the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Easton.
