Stephanie Heart Obituary
Stephanie Ann Heart, 52, of Harleysville, died Wednesday, September 17, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.
Born December 14, 1972 in Lansdale, she was a daughter of Wanda Steffen Cattalo and her husband, Joseph, of Lansdale, and the late Paul Rosenstein, MD.
Stephanie was given a distinct nickname as an infant that she grew to embody up until her last breath fighting the melanoma beast - TUFFY. Being the baby sister of 5 girls didn't hinder her confidence. She was the GOAT of sarcasm, swearing and making you laugh until you cried. For 7 years she proved her medical team wrong. Her survival was all "Heart"; she fought for her daughter, for other melanoma patients and for science. She completed an arduous inpatient clinical trial, multiple surgeries, immunotherapy, scans, tests, and blood work but she never stopped smiling. She endured so much so others can benefit from what her team learned through her fight.
Stephanie worked for 20 years as a sales manager for Clipper Magazine. While she took great pride in her work and demonstrated a fierce work ethic, she touched countless lives in artistic ways. Her background in theater made her a natural to direct her daughter's elementary school musicals as a volunteer. She inspired many students who learned so much from her and still love her. She was so proud to have made commercials and print ads for Fox Chase Cancer Center when she was in remission.
She was an extraordinary friend, made evident by the enormous and diverse circle of humans from every part of her life who surrounded her. She made everyone she loved feel important, while being the brightest beam of light in the room. She loved animals and they loved her, knowing she was a soft touch and would do anything to make them happy.
Stephanie is survived by her parents, Wanda and Joseph Cattalo, her daughter, Amanda Heart of Harleysville; four sisters, Susan Rosenstein (David Esser, MD) of Toronto, Lynne Albright of Warwick, RI, Missy Sofield (Roger) of Telford, and Marci Borits (Joe) of Hatfield; and four nieces and nephews, Hannah Sofield, MD, Max Esser, Alex Esser, and Zach Esser.
She was preceded in death by a nephew, Jordan Campbell.
Relatives and friends may call between 1:30 and 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, followed by the Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m. Burial will be private.
