Stephen Allen Barnaik Jr.

Stephen (Steve) Allen Barnaik Jr., age 61, of Norristown, Pennsylvania, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at Jefferson Einstein Montgomery Hospital in the company of his loved ones. Born in Phoenixville on April 9th, 1964, he was the son of Mary (Heebner) Barnaik and the late Stephen A. Barnaik Sr. Stephen was a graduate of Northern Chester County Tech (Class of 1982) where he studied Basic Electronics. He spent over 20 years working at Merck West Point where he was a member of the United Steelworkers Union. He also previously spent time working with Commodore and Gemplus. In his youth, he could be found skating with the Kimberton Rock and Rollers at the Kimberton Rollerama, setting the new high score on a pinball machine, drumming in the marching band, and bowling on the Junior League at Phoenix Lanes. As an avid music fan, he loved going to concerts and musicals. He enjoyed spreading his love of music through karaoke performances and his time as a DJ with his own company: "Twilight Entertainment". Steve was an incredibly loyal Philadelphia sports fan his entire life, with his favorite team being the Philadelphia Eagles. Known for proudly sporting his Super Bowl Champions jacket, he was often the first person in any room to shout "GO BIRDS!" and was the leader of many Eagles chants, bleeding green everywhere he went. He also held a great love for amusement parks, gardening, and his beloved dog, Marley. Most importantly, he was a loving son, a devoted father, and a friend to all. He was preceded in death by his father Stephen A. Barnaik Sr. He is survived by his children Samantha Marie, wife of Matthew Harris, and Stephen Patrick; his mother Mary Barnaik; his siblings Dawnette Sheplock (John), Bridgette Lightcap (Steve), and Shanon Barnaik (Sandi); along with several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, Pennsylvania on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Pastor Caroline Bashore. Burial will follow in the Limerick Garden of Memories, Limerick, PA.Friends will be received from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM at Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or Pennsylvania SPCA.
