Stephen Rapp Obituary

Stephen L. Rapp, 48, of Auburn, PA, passed away unexpectedly as the result of an accident at work, on March 11, 2025, in Richmond Twp., PA. Born on April 26, 1976, in Fountain Hill, PA, he was the son of the late Lawrence E. Rapp and Helen (Velekei) Rapp.
Stephen graduated from Bethlehem Catholic High School in the Class of 1994, where he formed friendships and memories that lasted a lifetime. His academic achievements were just the beginning of a life filled with hard work and commitment. For the past eight years, Stephen made a significant impact as a supervisor at East Penn Manufacturing - DEKA in Richmond Township. His leadership and camaraderie were hallmarks of his career, and he was respected by all who had the pleasure of working alongside him.
Stephen was a man of many passions, with a particular love for sports. He could often be found on the golf course, perfecting his swing, or cheering on his favorite football and baseball teams. His dedication to the Philadelphia Phillies was unwavering, and he relished every moment of the game. Fitness was also a priority for Stephen; he enjoyed regular workouts at the gym, maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle.
The light of Stephen's life was his wife of 23 years, Martha E. (Kelly) Rapp. Together, they shared a love that was evident to all who knew them. Stephen and Martha's travels to Jamaica were some of their most treasured times, creating memories that Martha will hold dear forever. Stephen was known for his love of a cold beer, especially when shared in good company, and his presence at gatherings will be deeply missed.
Survivors: In addition to his loving wife Martha, he will be sadly missed by his brother, Michael Rapp; his mother-in-law, Eileen Kelly; his sisters-in-laws, Megan Rapp, Susanne Kelly, and Cathy Baum; his nephews, Jon, Alex, and Ryan Rapp and Damian; and his nieces, Cynthia, Meghan, and Ava Baum. Each of whom played a special role in Stephen's life, and their bond with him will remain unbroken.
Services: A Funeral will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday March 20, 2025 at Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street Bethlehem, PA 18018, where a viewing will be held on Wednesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 PM and again on Thursday morning from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. A memory tribute may be made at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
The family requests to please dress in your favorite Phillies, Eagles or golf attire for the services.

My deepest condolences to Steve's family and friends. He and I worked together at Circuit City in Whitehall and briefly in Reading in the mid to late 90's. I will always remember his wonderful personality and kind-hearted nature. May the love and support of family and friends bring you peace in the days ahead.
