Steven D. Fitzsimmons

Steven D. Fitzsimmons, 69, of Lansdale, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2025. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of Joan E. (Phillips) Fitzsimmons of Lansdale and the late Francis J. Fitzsimmons. In addition to his mother, Steven is survived by his companion of 28 years, Janet Minor, his daughter, Brandy Kershaw, wife of Dale; his son, Brian Fitzsimmons, husband of Jackie; his brother, Frank Fitzsimmons; his sisters, Lisa Schmell, wife of Arthur, and Kathi McKelevey, wife of John. He is also survived by five grandchildren, one great-daughter. Steven was a longtime member of the Lansdale Eagles Club and various poker clubs. An avid bowler, he participated in several local leagues. He had a deep love for sports and was a devoted fan of both the New York Giants and the New York Yankees. Professionally, Steven retired from Penn Fishing Tackle after 32 years of service. He later worked as a machinist for Tri-Crest in Lansdale, and most recently, Penndale Middle School in the North Penn School District. Steven was a beloved son, brother, father, and friend, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His kindness, sense of humor, and unwavering loyalty left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Though he is no longer with us, his memory will live on in our hearts forever. Visitaion will be Friday, October 3, 2025 from 2:00PM to 2:45PM at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, with a memorial service to begin at 3:00PM. Burial will be private and at a later date.
