Sylvia A. Green, 78, of Bath, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at her residence. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward W. Green III to whom she was married 44 years before his passing in 2018.
Born in Allentown, on July 19, 1946, Sylvia was the daughter of the late Joseph Schmalzer and Emma Schmalzer (Wagner).
Sylvia, a graduate of Northampton High School. Prior to retirement, she loved her work as a nurse's aide at Sacred Heart assistant living. With profound sadness and deep gratitude, we celebrate the life of Sylvia, lovingly known as "Yaya" by her neighbors and friends. A true book lover, and passionate gardener. But above all, she was a mother, sister and friend - a pillar of strength, kindness, and humor. She had a way of making people feel loved, lifting spirits with her quick wit, and finding joy even in life's simplest moments. She leaves behind her family and friends, who will carry her love, laughter, and lessons forward. Though she is no longer physically with us; she will live on in every book read with wonder, every flower planted with care, and every moment of laughter shared in her honor.
Survivors: She will be dearly missed by her children, Jayce Vazquez and his wife, Trista, of Plainfield Township, Jolene Vazquez and her companion, Chris Jesiolowski, of Northampton, Edward W. Green, IV and his wife, Charlene, of Northampton; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Anita Check and her husband Greg, Danny Schmalzer and his wife Donna; many nieces and nephews.
