Tanya Jo Cramer

Tanya Jo Cramer, 71, of Nashville, TN, and formerly of Brodheadsville, died Sunday afternoon, September 21, 2025 at TriStar Summit Medical Center in Hermitage, TN. She was the widow of Russell E. "Butch" Cramer, Jr. who died November 14, 2016. Born on October 31, 1953 in East Stroudsburg, she was a daughter of the late Arthur "Artie" and Mary (Lyon) Klingel and was a lifetime resident of Monroe County until moving to Tennessee a year ago. Tanya started her working career at Bell Telephone as a switchboard operator, a position she loved and often talked about. After her service at Bell she went on to serve many years in the medical clerical field as a Unit Secretary at Pocono Hospital, and several years at Dr. Bruce Davis family practice. She attended St. Lukes Catholic Church for many years and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, local musical events and hometown celebrations,and a good cup of Starbucks coffee. She loved Jesus and had a smile for everyone she greeted. Surviving are two children, Kristy Jo Mellons and husband Ken of Hermitage, TN and Richard Steinmetz, Jr. and wife Susan of Laplata, MD; four grandchildren, Alayna Steinmetz, Julianna Steinmetz, Kade Mellons and Kash Mellons; a sister, Jolie Bradley and husband David of Stroudsburg, PA; three nephews Derek Horn, Adam Horn and David Bradley; and a great niece Jaylie Horn. Services will be held on Tuesday, September 30th, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg with viewing beginning at 11:30AM followed by the funeral service at 1:00PM. Burial will follow at Sand Hill Cemetery. Memorial remembrances may be made to Stroudsburg Music Supporters.
