Thomas D. Martin

Thomas D. Martin, 81, husband of Lois G. Martin, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest. Born in Lancaster, PA, he was the son of the late Henry M. and Dorothy (Denlinger) Martin. Thomas was active in his church in many ways; he enjoyed attending prayer meetings, serving as a deacon, being a part of the sound team each month and he and Lois hosted a weekly Life Group for years. Family was also very important to him; he looked forward to family trips when his children were younger and enjoyed supporting his grandchildren in their various activities. He prayed for each of his children and grandchildren by name every morning and was quick with hugs and smiles for them all. In his spare time, Thomas enjoyed mowing, woodworking, playing cards and sitting on the porch with Lois. In his younger years, he played on the church softball team and served with 1-W in Indianapolis, Indiana, where he met his first wife, Judy. He was an owner of Martin Stone Quarries, Inc., and was passionate about every aspect of the job. Surviving in addition to his wife Lois of 27 years, are his children: son Trevor Martin, husband of Hannah; daughter Natalie Trout, wife of Andrew; son Travis Martin, husband of Julianne; step-son Curtis Bisbort, fiancé of Nicole Peer, and step-son Galen Bisbort, husband of Wendy; 18 precious grandchildren; siblings Ruth Ann "Marty" Mininger, wife of Steve; Dave Martin, husband of Sandi and Fred Martin, husband of Evelyn. He was predeceased by his first wife, Judy Martin; brother Glenn Martin, husband of Rose, and brother Nelson Martin. A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Mstar Church (100 Limekiln Road, Bechtelsville, PA 19505) with a service to follow at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christians United for Israel in Thomas' name.
