Virginia May Obituary

Virginia A. "Ginger" May age 80 of Audubon passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at Paoli Hospital. Born in Kingston, Pa on November 15, 1944 to the late John D. and Ruth E. (nee Yourison) Marcin. She is also preceded in death by a son, Scott D. May. Ginger is survived by her husband of 57 years, Douglas W. May; 2 children, Kelly Mosteller (James), and Greg May (Corey); sister, Dorothy Toth (James); 7 grandchildren, Michael May, Ryan May, Benjamin May, Eric Mosteller, Kayla Mosteller, Stacey May, and Margo May. Ginger had a true love for children. She was both a preschool teacher for St. Andrew's Nursery School for over 10 years and a children's librarian in the Lower Providence Community. Ginger loved to travel with her family and pets and took many trips across country. She especially loved the family vacations to the Outer Banks of North Carolina and many wonderful years at the Pocono House. Ginger always had a dog by her side. She cherished her Springer Spaniels over the years and her endearing love for "Cooper" was obvious. Most of all, spending time with her large family brought such joy to her life. Holidays and special life events were always spent with her sister and extended family. Seeing the two of them together one would never mistake the close bond they shared. She loved being with her seven grandchildren, often supporting them with their activities and watching them grow into young adults. Ginger's warm heart and outgoing personality will be missed by all who knew her. Family and friends are invited to St. Andrew's Lutheran Church 2725 Egypt Rd., Audubon, Pa 19403 to attend a viewing from 9:50 to 10:50 am on Saturday, March 29, 2025 followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Augustus Lutheran Church Cemetery 717 West Main Street, Trappe, PA 19426. In lieu of flowers contributions in Ginger's memory may be made to St. Andrew's Lutheran Church. Arrangements entrusted to Szpindor-Meyers Funeral Home.
