Walter DeKalb Obituary

Walter J. DeKalb, Jr., 70, of Birdsboro, passed away Sunday September 28, 2025 at his residence. Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late Walter J. DeKalb, Sr. and Jacqueline (Wolfe) DeKalb. Walter had a passion for American history. He was a member of the Haycreek Valley Historical Society and a Revolutionary War Reenactor. Walter also enjoyed horseback riding and built small barns for families. Surviving is his sisters Vickie DeKalb and Monica DeKalb. Funeral services will be held Wednesday October 8, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Ltd., 329 N. Lewis Rd., Royersford, PA 19468. Burial will follow at Falkner Swamp Church Cemetery, Gilbertsville. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10:00-10:45 AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Walter's memory to Haycreek Valley Historical, 1250 Furnace Rd., Geigertown, PA 19523.
