William Auman Obituary

William Harry Auman, 91, of Allentown, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 1, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was the companion of Carol A. Berger with whom he resided. Born in Allentown, December 13, 1933, William was the son of the late Roy H. and Marjorie C. (Cheesbrough) Auman. He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War era with a rank of S/Sgt. William was employed as an electrician at the former Lucent Technologies and the former Western Electric in Allentown for 36 years before retiring in 1996. He was a member of the Emmaus Masonic Lodge #792, F. & A.M., and Lehigh Consistory, Valley of Allentown. Survivors: In addition to his companion Carol; daughters, Sheryl A. Stephens (Lee) of Orefield, Kim L. Minarovic (Joseph) of Florida, Jane K. Kelly (Jay) of Coplay, Patricia A. Leaney (Darryl) of Canada; sister, Patricia K. McLaughlin of Hellertown; grandchildren, Timothy L. Stephens (Michele), Derek A. Stephens (Sharon), Patrick A. Stephens, Dakota J. Kelly (Rena), Caitlyn J. Nichols (Tyler), Olivia W. Leaney, Luke R. Leaney; great-grandchildren, Noah, Isaac, Isabella, Violet, Cole, Knoxxen, Ivy. Service: Funeral services will be held 11:00 am. Monday, May 5, 2025, at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville with the Rev. Janet L. Newett officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects from 9:30 am. – 10:50 am. Monday at the funeral home. Masonic service 10:50 am. Entombment with military honors will follow the service at Grandview Cemetery, Allentown. Online expressions of sympathy may be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lehigh Valley Hospice in c/o the funeral home, P.O. Box #196, Schnecksville, PA 18078-0196.
