I met Bill & Kay Shunk through the Reading Pretzel City Barbershop Chorus in Ocean City, NJ. I had been in the chorus for a number of years and he had just joined. I introduced myself to Bill & Kay at the Barbershop Convention & invited them to join the rest of us. From that day on, we became friends.
Throughout the years, we vacationed together, played cards together, went out to eat together and sang together. He was the bass singer in my quartet called Segue' for about 7 years.
Fond memories and a funny story is that every time he had a computer or TV problem he would call me, as I only lived a few doors away. One time he called me and said, "Chuck, I don't know what happened but all of my TV channels were speaking Spanish. He would get a little frustrated with the remote and start pressing all kind of buttons.
Rest in peace, my friend.
