Aisha Jones Obituary
Aisha J.T. Jones. Aisha wasn't just a person you met-she was an experience, a force, a moment in time that you never forgot. She walked into a room and owned it. No hesitation. No second-guessing. She was, without a doubt, that girl. And she knew it.
She was feisty, she was loud, and she was never afraid to say exactly what was on her mind-whether the world was ready to hear it or not. And Lord help you if you weren't on her team because, as she would proudly remind you, "B", we're not on the same team." She had this rare magic about her, this ability to be completely unapologetic in the best way possible. If she wanted something, she went and got it. If she had a dream, she made it happen. And she did it all on her own.
Aisha was a trailblazer-a title she carried with pride. She was the first in her family to graduate from college, earning her degree from the University of Bridgeport in 2010. She proved that no dream was too big, no goal was out of reach. She set the standard, paving the way for those who would follow. And she didn't stop there. Aisha went on to work at Meliora Academy as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), dedicating her time and passion to helping others. She poured her heart into her work, bringing her boldness, her energy, and her compassion into the lives of so many.
But if there was one thing Aisha loved just as much as her family and her ambitions, it was music. Music was her soul. It was the soundtrack to her life, the beat that matched her energy. And if you knew Aisha, you knew her love for The Hot Boyz and Lil Wayne ran deep. I mean, deep. She had their posters all over her room when she was growing up, and you couldn't tell her Lil Wayne wasn't the greatest of all time. She didn't just listen to music-she lived it, she breathed it, she felt it. Whether she was blasting her favorite songs, dancing around the house, or just vibing in her own world, music was a part of her identity. It was bold, it was raw, it was real-just like she was.
Aisha was the life of the party, the loudest laugh in the room, and the person who could turn even the dullest moments into something unforgettable. She had a way of making people feel alive just by being in her presence. And if you ever heard her say, "She's that "B"," trust me-you believed her. Behind the fire, behind the humor, was a heart that was even bigger than her presence. Aisha loved deeply. She cared for her family with a devotion that was unmatched. If she loved you, you knew it-because she wasn't the type to hide her feelings. Whether she was cooking for you, dancing around the room to her favorite songs, or planning her next solo travel adventure, Aisha lived with passion. She loved hard, she laughed loud, and she gave her whole self to the people she cherished. She was courageous. She never waited for permission to live the life she wanted.
She was a traveler, an adventurer-never afraid to go alone because she knew she was all she ever needed. The world was her playground, and she embraced it with open arms, leaving behind stories and memories that we will carry with us forever.
Aisha was the definition of ambition. From the time she was a kid, she never backed down. If she wanted it, she made sure it happened. She didn't wait for opportunities-she created them. She fought for the life she wanted, and she did it her way.
Losing her feels impossible because someone like Aisha doesn't just go away. She stays with us in every wild story, in every laugh, in every moment where we decide to be a little bolder, a little louder, a little more her. She wouldn't want us sitting here in sadness-she'd want us celebrating, playing music, eating good food, and making noise. Because that's what she did. She made life louder, brighter, and better.
So today, let's not say goodbye. Instead, let's promise to keep her spirit alive. Let's be bold. Let's be loud. Let's never settle for less than what we deserve. And most importantly, let's never forget Aisha J.T. Jones-the woman, the legend, the IT girl.
She leaves behind her beloved family: her siblings Ibejah Jones, Negusi Jones, Leon Trapp, Taevon Stewart, Vashti Jones, Kayla Banton, and Ananda Burnard. Her mothers Deborah Jones and Faith Campbell. She also leaves behind her nieces, nephews, uncles, and aunts, all of whom will carry her love, her fire, and her memory with them always.
But even in this heartbreaking loss, we find comfort knowing that Aisha is not alone. She is now reunited with her father, Michael Constantine Jones, and if there's one thing we know for sure, it's that she walked through those heavenly gates like she owned the place. Aisha was big on faith, and she believed in keeping a pure heart no matter what life threw her way. She found peace in Psalm 23, a scripture she loved-a reminder that even in life's toughest moments, God always had her back. And now, we know she's living that truth in the best way possible-no stress, no worries, and making sure Heaven gets a little louder. We can only imagine the energy in that reunion-Aisha, with that big smile, coming in hot, talking her talk, and bringing her wild, beautiful spirit right back to him. No doubt, her father welcomed her with open arms, shaking his head, thinking, "Here she goes!" They are together again, watching over us, laughing, reminiscing, catching up on all the tea, and of course-blasting music, because what's Heaven without a little noise?
Rest easy, Aisha. You'll always be that "B". And somewhere, right now, the beat drops, and she's turning up.
