Alan Orten Obituary

Alan Lance Orten Alan Lance Orten age 56, of Clearwater, Florida, formerly of Waterbury CT, passed away May 22, 2025, at his home. Alan was born on July 18, 1968, in Waterbury, a son of the late Mack Daniel and Joyce Nadine (Hall) Orten. He was a graduate of Kennedy High School. He enjoyed basketball and sports growing up. Alan enjoyed great lifetime, friendships growing up and Wally, Mendi or Milton would come by the neighborhood pizza shop when he worked there as a young man. This tribe always found a way to get together. Alan proudly served this country in the United States Navy stationed aboard the USS Iowa. Alan had several Navy buddies he considered family. Prior to his Navy retirement, Alan was employed as a laborer/dock worker at Bloomingdales in Cheshire CT. He leaves a daughter Julia Deborah Orten of East Providence, Rhode Island, his brother Mack Zane Orten of Southbury, his sisters Deborah Orten Corriveau of Clearwater, FL, Ellen Lou Orten of NY, and several cousins including Tina and Christopher of NH. Predeceased by Daniel (Danny) Orten and his uncles, Dell and Lowry, Alan had rich familial relationships over the years. Arrangements: Calling hours for Alan will be held on Thursday August 14th from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Chase Parkway Memorial/Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury CT. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Friday August 15 at 9:00 AM at State Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown Connecticut.

I`m sorry to read of Alan`s passing.Although I`m older than he, I knew him from Brooklyn.He was a good person.Though he is gone, remember the great times you shared with him.
