Albert Rowett Obituary

Albert E. Rowett, Jr., 75, beloved husband to Gail (Hayes) Rowett passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Hartford Hospital with his beloved family by his side. Al was born in Manchester, on February 7, 1950, son of the late Albert E. Rowett, Sr. and June (Senna) Rowett. He was very passionate about his animal companions, especially Bones and Charlie, his granddogs and grandcats, 10-pin bowling, traveling with family and friends, casino trips and the New York Yankees. Al is survived by his beloved wife Gail, his three beloved daughters and their spouses, Kimberly & Vincent Vespa of Colchester, Melanie & Stephen Durocher of Columbia and Bobbie–Jo Rowett of Mansfield Center; his seven grandchildren Nicholas & Christopher Vespa, Alec D'Angelo, Karliann Rowett, Kolby & Cassie Durocher and Alisha Smith. Along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides both parents, he was also predeceased by his siblings. Relatives and friends are invited on Thursday, September 18th from 4-7 p.m. to the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center Street, Manchester, with a funeral service at 7 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 22nd at 11 a.m. in East Cemetery, 220 East Center St. Manchester. Memorial donations can be made to Hartford Healthcare Cancer Institute.
