Allan Ljunggren Obituary

Allan E.G. Ljunggren, 78, of North Haven passed away peacefully on Monday, May 26th, 2025, at his home with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 52 years to the late Barbara Ann LaFontaine Ljunggren. Allan was born in Falun, Sweden on May 28th, 1946 and was the son of the late Erik B. and Edith E. Johnson Ljunggren. He had worked as a floor sander for Neil's Wood Flooring and later was the owner/operator of Ljunggren's Floor Sanding for many years. Allan was a member of the Branford Elks Lodge, enjoyed frequent trips to the casino, lottery scratch offs, but most of all, being with his family especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom he loved unconditionally. Father of Deborah Ljunggren Smith, Steven Ljunggren (Heidi Stuber), Richard Ljunggren, Lori Ljunggren, Erik Ljunggren, Robert Ljunggren (Jamie). Grandfather of Michael Smith (Stacey), Steven Smith (Sabrina), Christina Smith (Jamie), Kirsten Ljunggren (Kyle), Hunter, Connor, Katrina and Viktoria Ljunggren, Jacob Kopylec. Great-Grandfather of Nico, Scarlett, Slater, Kylie, Liliana, Axel and Grace. Predeceased by his sister Elizabeth G. Larsson.
