Allen Cyr Obituary

Allen B. Cyr, 72, of Wethersfield, passed away September 13, 2025, peacefully at home. He was born in Van Buren, ME, son of Rena (Gendreau) Cyr and the late Albanie Cyr. Prior to his retirement, Allen was an electrician for the Hospital of Central Connecticut for over 30 years. He loved fishing, baseball, dancing and Zydeco music. Besides his mother, Allen will be greatly missed by his daughter, Nicole Cyr and her husband Teodor Wichkowsky of East Hartford, his son Michael Cyr of Rockaway, NY, grandchildren, Michael Allen Wichkowsky and Valeria Abreu. He also leaves his partner of 20 years, Laurel Risom, his brother Philip Cyr and his wife Maria of Rocky Hill, his sister Marlene Cyr of Lisbon. He was predeceased by his sister Diane Castro. Friends may call on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 from 4:00 to 5:30 pm at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield. A Memorial Service will follow at 5:30.
