Angelo A. Angiollo

Angelo A. Angiollo, 93, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 25th, 2025, at his home with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 69 years to Nettie Prete Angiollo. Angelo was born in East Haven on September 9th, 1932, and was the son of the late Angelo and Maria DeCapua Angiollo. He served his country faithfully in the US Army during the Korean War and earned the rank of Sergeant before he was honorably discharged. Angelo was the owner and operator of the former Angelo's Pizzeria on Washington Avenue in North Haven for many years until his retirement. He and his wife enjoyed playing cards with their friends and taking frequent trips to the casino. Besides his wife, Angelo is survived by his sister-in-law Rose Angiollo, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Predeceased by his siblings, Florence Sullo, Grace Cacace, Joseph, Albert, Frank and Edward Angiollo, Sr. The visiting hours will be Monday, Sept. 29th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Catholic funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home on Tuesday morning, Sept. 30th at 11:00. Interment will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park, New Haven. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Connecticut Hospice at cthospice.org
