Annette J. Palermo

Annette J. Alberino Palermo, 91, of North Haven, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at home with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of 67 years to the late Nicholas D. Palermo, Sr. Born in New Haven on August 17th, 1933, daughter of the late John and Rose Maturo Alberino. Annette lovingly cared for her house and family. She had worked as an Assistant Social Director at The East Haven Convalescent Home and Hospital and was a seamstress at many local firms. Annette was a member of many organizations, served as President of the Destroyer Escort Sailors Association Ladies Auxiliary Branford Post and preformed voluntary gift work for the CT State Veterans Home and Hospital, and received several awards for her efforts and service. She is survived by her two sons, Nicholas D. (Vivian) Palermo, Jr. of Naples, Florida and James V. Palermo of North Haven. Loving grandmother of Nicholas D. Palermo III and Carmine V. (Danielle) Palermo. Beloved great-grandmother of Gianna and Luca. Sister-in-law of Genevieve Alberino. Sister of the late Sophie Parillo and John Alberino, Jr. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the Hospice staff, in particular Carrie (the nurse case manager and Ty (her aide). The visiting hours will be Monday morning, May 5th from 9:00 to 10:30 AM at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Therese Church, North Haven at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
