Antonio Constantino Goncalves

MIDDLEBURY, CT Antonio Constantino Goncalves "Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather & Brother" Antonio Constantino "Tino" Goncalves, 75, entered the gates of Heaven surrounded by his loving family on Monday, July 28, 2025 at VITAS Inpatient Unit at St. Mary's Hospital. He was the loving husband of Maria Angelina (DeSousa) Goncalves for 42 years. Tino was born in Vila Seca, Portugal on September 25, 1949, a son of the late Antonio José and Ana de Jesus (Dias) Goncalves. He was a veteran of the Portuguese Military. Tino came to the United States in 1977, first settling in Yonkers, New York before making his home and starting his family in Waterbury, CT. He worked for Tilcon of New Britain for over 20 years until his retirement. Tino enjoyed spending his time outdoors, whether working in his yard, gardening or looking after his animals. He took great pleasure in gathering with family and friends to play cards and found joy in the time spent together. Above all, Tino truly cherished the time he spent with his family, grandchildren and dog(Rosie). Besides his wife, Angelina, he leaves his daughter, Lucia "Lucy" Martins and her husband, Rogerio, of Prospect, CT, his two loving grandchildren, Daniel and Sofia Martins, also his sister, Maria Emilia Esteves of Germany. He was predeceased by his sibling, José Augusto Dias Goncalves, Maria José Escaleira and Domingos Dias Goncalves Arrangements: Funeral will be held Saturday, August 2, 2025, 10:00 am from Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury to Our Lady of Fatima Church for a Mass of Catholic Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery, Waterbury. Calling hours will be held Saturday morning from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
