Barbara Weeks Obituary
Barbara Weeks, born on November 10, 1937, in Staten Island, New York, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2025, in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, whose kindness and warm spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.
Barbara was known for her outgoing personality and unwavering generosity. She always had a smile on her face, bringing joy and comfort to those around her. A great cook, Barbara delighted family and friends alike with her culinary skills. Her passion for music was evident in her love for singing and listening to melodies that resonated deeply in her heart. Strong in her faith, she drew upon her beliefs to guide her life and inspire others.
As a proud mother and grandmother, Barbara's greatest accomplishments came in the form of her children and grandchildren. She cherished her role as a mother to her daughters, Janine Galluccio, Lisa Galluccio, and Christine Woznick, and her son, Neil Galluccio. Each child held a special place in her heart, and she took immense pride in their achievements and happiness. Barbara also enjoyed a close bond with her daughters-in-law, Olga Munoz-Galluccio and Leigh Galluccio, and son-in-law Bruce Woznick, all of whom she embraced as part of her family. Her legacy will continue through her grandchildren: Joseph LoMonaco, Anthony LoMonaco, Cody Galluccio, Tyler Galluccio, and Christopher Woznick.
Barbara was blessed with two sisters, Patricia Fresk and Christine Healy, and a brother-in-law, Tim Healy, who knew her as a source of strength and support. Her family tree extended to include her nephew, Michael Healy, and her nieces, Sister Gregory (Katie Healy) and Meredith Healy, all of whom will remember her lovingly.
Barbara was predeceased by her husbands, Ralph "Skip" Galluccio and Alden Weeks. Their memories will forever be intertwined in the hearts of her family, a reminder of the love they shared.
Barbara Weeks leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and an indelible impression of grace and beauty that will continue to inspire her loved ones. She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all.
Friends and relatives may call on Barbara's family on Friday, May 23, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Naubuc Avenue, Glastonbury. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Barbara's life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 24, 2025, in St. Paul Church of Ss. Isidore and Maria Parish, 2577 Main Street, Glastonbury.
