Bradford Stevenson Obituary

Bradford B. Stevenson, 73, loving husband of Susan (Lipka) Stevenson, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at Hartford Hospital. He was born in Bristol on August 11, 1952, a son of the late Robert and Elizabeth (Dahlgren) Stevenson. He became a Registered Nurse and worked for Midstate Medical Center in Meriden, providing over 40 years of critical care nursing until his retirement in 2017. Brad loved his family and made them his priority in life, followed by boating and fishing with his best friend, Perry. He was a long time Yankees and Giants fan, as well as UCONN basketball. He was a talented woodworker and made his home much improved with his hobby. In addition to his beloved wife, Susan, he is survived by his daughters, Melanie Cooper of Cheshire and Andrea Graichen and her husband, Randy of Simpsonville, SC; his sons, Bradford Seth Stevenson and his wife, Katie of Redding and Zachary Stevenson and his wife, Linda Cody of Middletown; his grandchildren, Jake Cooper, Morgan and Tristan Graichen, and Luke and Penny Stevenson; his sister, Libby Lane of Bristol; his brother, Arthur Stevenson of Bristol; and several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Services will be held privately. Arrangements are under the direction of The Wallingford Funeral Home. www.wallingfordfh.com

Oh Sue, I´m so sorry. There were so many things to love about Brad but what I loved most was his sarcastic dry sense of humor. Aside from that, he was one of the most outstanding nurses I´ve ever worked with. He always brightened up my day. I am so very sorry for your loss.
