Brian Hennessey Obituary

Brian R Hennessey, 62, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 18, 2025, at ARK Healthcare & Rehabilitation in Branford. He was born in Hartford and was the youngest son of Jane (Ribera) Hennessey and the late Thomas V Hennessey, Sr. He is survived by his two brothers Shawn Hennessey and Tom (Laurie) Hennessey, niece Taylor Maffio (Jake), grandniece Ava and nephew Tim Hennessey. Brian was very loved, and he lived a wonderful life thanks to the amazing people at the RMS group homes on Allen Avenue and Brook Street, where he resided for many years. He will be forever remembered for his sense of humor, his kind eyes and infectious laugh, and his love of back rubs and bucket hats. Brian enjoyed the day program at Midstate ARC in Meriden. He loved to watch bowling, listen to music and spend time with his housemates and staff. Thanks to the dedicated staff at ARK in Branford for helping him through numerous struggles later in life. There will be a memorial service held Thursday, September 25, 5:00-7:00 PM at D'Angelo Funeral Home, 22 South Main Street, Middletown, CT. Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery, 305 Bow Lane, Middletown, CT at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 27, 2025. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Special Olympics Connecticut, 2666 State St, Ste 1, Hamden, CT 06517.
