Carla Lamontagne Obituary

Carla "Blah Blah" Mae Lamontagne, 65, of Palmer passed away peacefully in the early hours of Monday, October 6th, 2025, after a courageous battle against cancer. Carla was born on the 17th of December 1959 in Haverhill, New Hampshire to the late Gearld R. Bixby and Shirley (Gardiner) Bixby. Carla, or Blah Blah to most, was a fierce, nurturing and unforgettable woman whose strength and compassion left a mark on everybody who had the privilege to know her. Blah Blah was the type of woman to grab life by the horns and extrude a loving warmth while doing so. Whatever lost soul that crossed her path would be welcomed in with open arms and motherly love, whether you were a two- or four-legged friend. She found peace in the simplicities of life and riches in the community of love she created. Carla was extremely active within her community, a devoted bus driver, an unstoppable caretaker, and charismatic coach are just a few ways she established herself to many. Carla was stubborn in the best way, she was strong-willed, determined and full of fire, yet endlessly devoted to those she loved. Carla is survived by her devoted daughter: Melissa Stewart and her husband, Gary Stewart, of Willington, Connecticut; Brandy Charron and her husband, Donald Charron of, Palmer, Massachusetts. Blah Blahs' beloved grandchildren, Alyssa and Samantha Stewart, Brandon and Donald Charron Her siblings, Laurie and her husband Gary Robert of Chicopee, MA. Kim and her husband Nelson Rodriguez of Clarksville, TN. Storm and her partner Richard Smith of Huntington, MA. John and his wife Sherry Kezer of Chicopee, MA. Robin and her husband Roger Guay of W. Springfield. MA. Carla is survived by her dearest friend, Marie Sisco and her fur babies of Brimfield, MA. Along with extended family and friends who Carla always loved like her own. Carla is reunited with her beloved Richard F. Lamontagne who preceded her in death in 2016. Forty-five years of marriage and countless adventures together, they now take their final adventure as one again. Her siblings, Neil Bixby (surviving wife, Katherine) and Guy Bixby precede her in death. Carla is now reunited with her lifetime friend Noreen Ford who preceded her in death in 2017. A celebration of life ceremony will be held on Saturday November 8th, 2025, from; 2 - 6pm at the Polish American Citizens Club, located at 7 Bliss St, Monson, MA 01057. In lieu of flowers, donations to D 'Amour Center for Cancer Care or a blood donation in Carla's memory would be appreciated.
