Carol A. Ritchie

Carol A. Ritchie, 91, of East Hartford, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 27, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT. Carol was born in Hartford on August 17, 1934, daughter of the late Arthur J. Hart and Helen Defazio Hart. Carol grew up in Hartford and worked as a secretary for a number of companies throughout her career. She was an avid reader, enjoyed opera and classical music, loved roller skating, and visiting casinos. Carol is survived by her three children, Melissa Turner and her husband Bradley of Bath, NY, Elizabeth Price and her husband Joseph of Harrisonville, MO, and James Morgan and his wife Elizabeth, of Manchester, CT; five grandchildren, Spencer Morgan & Nicholas Morgan of Manchester, CT, Carolyn Price Moore and her husband James Moore of Alexandria, VA, Leanna Price of Anchorage, AK, and Joseph "Jay" Price of Charlotte, NC; and two great-grandchildren, Rowan Moore and Remington Moore of Alexandria, VA. Carol was predeceased by her husbands, James Morgan and Thomas Ritchie. Funeral services are private under the direction of the John F. Tierney Funeral Home in Manchester, CT.
