Christine Esker Obituary

COLEBROOK – Christine (Campbell) Esker, 84, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of Walter Joseph Esker for 64 wonderful years. Born February 12, 1941 in Torrington; the daughter of the late Thomas and Agnes (Hurley) Campbell. Chris enjoyed painting and being on the water especially Martha's Vinyard and Highland Lake. She loved decorating for the holidays especially Christmas with all her Christmas Elves and angels. She mostly loved spending time with family and her grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her beloved children, Walter Esker, Jr., and wife Joyce of MA, Greg Esker, Sr., and wife Jane of Winsted, Sue Holm and husband Todd of New Hartford and Katie Borden and husband John of Glastonbury; 12 cherished grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Thomas Bruce Campbell and Judy Odell. A Mass of Chrisitan burial will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at St. Joseph's Church, Winsted at 11 AM. Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 922 Main Street, Winsted has care of arrangements.
