Christine Shea (Bodnar) ObituaryWATERBURY: Christine (Bodnar) Shea, age 79 of Waterbury, beloved wife of 58 years to Ronald Shea, entered peaceful rest on Monday, September 29, 2025 in St. Mary's hospital with her husband by her side. Born in Derby on May 29, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Helen (Mihalko) Bodnar. Christine was a devoted wife to her husband Ron. She was generous and caring to all she considered family and friends. She was a dedicated Elvis fan who loved to attend many local Elvis impersonator performances. She was a faithful viewer of the ORTV daily Catholic mass and would send flowers for the altar along with pizza and cannolis on holidays for the staff. She will be remembered for her love of animals and sense of humor. Christine was reunited in love with her husband, Ronald, on October 3, 2025. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her mother-in-law and father-in-law Arnold and Joyce (Lewis) Shea, her brother Samuel Bodnar, her sisters-in-law Nancy Lane and husband John Lane,and her sister-in-law Sandra Shea. She is survived by her brother-in-law Raymond Shea of Beacon Falls, her nieces and nephew Ramona Shea, Patrick Shea, Christine Beaulieu (Marc), Robin Shea, Sheri Kulmala (Ken), Penny Masch and many surviving great nieces, great nephews, and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating their lives will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025 at 10am in St. Michael Church, 25 Maple Ave. Beacon Falls, CT 06403. Interment will be held privately at the CT State Veterans' Cemetery, Middletown. The Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 161 W.
