Christopher James Hannon

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Christopher "Chris" Hannon on Saturday, August 23, 2025. He was born in New York City, the son of the late James E. and Margaret Kenny Hannon. Chris was a beloved long-time resident of the RMS South Curtis group home in Wallingford, where he spent over two decades before a brief stay at Regency House. Known for his bright blue eyes, gentle spirit, and love of paper folding, Chris left an impression on everyone who knew him. He had a unique way of showing his preferences, whether sorting his paper just so, critiquing meals with honesty, or lighting up when a Pepsi or dessert was near. Chris especially loved sharing Big Macs and Coke with his housemate Joey, enjoying massages, and visiting coffee shops and restaurants in the community. Though nonverbal, Chris had his own special ways of communicating with staff and friends, creating bonds that words could never capture. To know Chris was to love him, and he will be deeply missed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday August 28th, at 10am in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 382 Hope Hill Rd. Wallingford. Interment will follow in the family plot in St. Mary Cemetery, Greenwich. There will be no hours for visitation. Wallingford Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
