Christopher Niemann Obituary

Christopher J. "Chris" Niemann, 51, of Avon, beloved husband of Shirine Niemann, passed away unexpectedly on Monday March 24, 2025. Born in Jamaica, New York on October 6, 1973, the son of James J. and Diana R. (Pulgrano) Niemann. Chris was raised in Bedford, NH and was a 1992 graduate of Manchester West High School. He was a 1998 graduate of Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and went on to earn his Doctorate in Pharmacy from University of Florida the following year. He was a member of the Phi Delta Chi fraternity. Chris is survived by his wife of 17 years, Shirine Nassery Niemann; his daughters, Ainsley Kathleen and Brooke Nassery; his parents, James J. Niemann and Diana R. (Pulgrano) Niemann of Bedford, NH; his sister, Patricia L. Uhlig and husband John of Hopkinton, NH; his brother, James M. Niemann and wife Julie of Wakefield, MA; his nephews, J.J. Niemann, Charles Niemann and Andrew Uhlig, as well as a loving extended family. Christopher was the perfect balance to his wife and the world feels lopsided without him. He loved his family with an intensity that was unmatched, and he was the person that everyone "in his village" depended on. The absolute loves-of-his-life were his two daughters, who are devastated by his loss but will carry with them so many wonderful memories. Their mother is thrilled to see all of Chris's best qualities live on in them: his kindness and generosity, his selflessness, and his sense of humor. Chris loved his parents, aunts, uncles, siblings, nephews and cousins fiercely. His extended family has spent a week every summer together at the Jersey Shore for nearly five decades. They will hold the memories of the Boardwalk, beach days, Seaside Olympics, and Klees in their hearts. Chris was the absolute best host and chef. His brilliant pharmacist precision measurement served his friends well when he was in the kitchen baking treats. He decorated elaborate, themed cakes for his daughters' birthdays in any design and flavor they could imagine. He was the master of the kitchen, and his extraordinary skills were reflected even in his expert-level dishwasher loading. His beloved sports teams fell in an odd combination of Patriots, Yankees, and Bruins for which he cheered passionately and scolded vigorously from the comfort of his couch. He enjoyed his teams surrounded by his beloved dog Quincy and girls, all of whom would be dressed in head-to-toe spiritwear. Chris and his family all enjoyed playing tennis together at a local racquet club, and they are incredibly grateful for the community there. "Sap Season" was his favorite time of year. Chris's family will receive friends on Friday, March 28, 2025, from 4-7PM at Carmon Funeral Home & Family Center, 301 Country Club Road, Avon, CT 06001. A Funeral Service will be held at Carmon's on Saturday, March 29, 2025 beginning at 10am. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to direct donations to the Christopher Niemann Memorial Tennis fund through the Avon High School Booster Club.
