Corina Renee Morris

Corina Renee Morris, 51, of Manchester, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2025. Born on August 4, 1974, in Middletown, CT, she was the cherished daughter of Jimmie and Rosa Morris. A dedicated and compassionate Academic Advisor at the University of Connecticut, Corina took great pride in guiding students toward their academic and career goals. Her own commitment to education was profound-she earned her bachelor's degree from Elizabeth City State University and a master's degree from Central Connecticut State University. A longtime resident of Manchester, Corina built lasting friendships and touched countless lives with her kindness, wisdom, and generous spirit. She possessed a warm heart and a truly contagious laugh that could brighten any room. Corina was a fighter who embodied resilience and strength throughout her life, accomplishing whatever she set her mind to. She will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, integrity, and deep love for her family and friends. Family was the center of Corina's world. She cherished every moment spent with her nieces, nephews, and great-niece and nephew, showering them with love and joy. Her cousins, Christina and her sons-Donte, Gregory, and Greshaun-also held a very special place in her heart. Corina treasured her lifelong college friendships with Shanda Collins-Godette and Yvonne Brown, which brought her endless laughter and support. She leaves to mourn her devoted mother, Rosa Morris; her loving sisters, Jennifer Ballkishun (Taju) and Beverly Morris; and her half-sister, Tiffany Hoggard. She is also survived by her beloved nieces and nephews, Dashaun, Devin, Tanisha, and Tyshayla, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who adored her. Corina was predeceased by her father, Jimmie Morris. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, October 20, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Zion First Baptist Church of Middletown, 16 James A. Moses Avenue, Middletown, followed by a Homegoing Service at 11:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest at Pine Grove Cemetery, Middletown, following the service.
