Damian Correa

Damian Correa, 92, of Meriden, the beloved husband of Juana (Rivera) Correa for 69 years, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 29, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loved ones, after a long illness. Born in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico, on September 27, 1932, he was the son of the late Juan and Eulogia (Rodriguez) Correa. Damian resided in Meriden, Connecticut. Mr. Correa was employed by Treasure Chest Advertising as a press operator, retiring in February 1994. His crew set production records and reflected his strong work ethic. He was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church in Meriden. Damian enjoyed fishing and playing the guitar. He cherished spending time with his family, especially his great-grandchildren, and was known for his enthusiastic sense of humor. In addition to his devoted wife, Juana, he is survived by his daughter, Ivette Correa; his two sons, Nelson Correa and his wife, Maria, and Jaime Correa and his wife, Alisa; his nine grandchildren, Kevin Tozier, Christina Correa, James Correa, John Correa, Jason Correa, Nelson Correa Jr., Alejandro Correa, Natalia Correa, Roberto Correa, and his four great-grandchildren, Elia Correa Musco, Silas Correa Musco, Arielle Tozier and Tristan Tozier. Damian is also survived by his three sisters, Juana Navarro, Francisca Rodriguez, and Virginia Kalmanowitz; and many nieces and nephews. Damian was predeceased by his two sisters, Manuela Rivera and Carmen Correa and his three brothers, Francisco Correa, Marcelino Correa, and Arsenio Correa. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, September 6th from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main Street, Meriden. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church, 35 Center Street, Meriden. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Meriden.
