David Carl O'Connor

David C. O'Connor, 84, passed away peacefully at home on March 23, 2025. David was born in 1940, the son of Frank and Ethel O'Connor and was raised in Hartford. David graduated from Hartford High School in 1959. He met his wife of nearly 63 years, Marie, when delivering groceries to her family's front porch in West Hartford. Upon first seeing her, he told his friends "that's the girl I'm going to marry". David and Marie were married in 1962 and would have celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary in September. David served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves and spent time at Camp LeJeune. He retired as Lieutenant from the West Hartford Fire Department in 1990 after a 29 year career. David had a keen interest in real estate and was partner in multiple real estate investment companies. He could always be found outside, especially in the summer. He absolutely loved mowing, landscaping and gardening in his yard. David could often be seen taking long walks. After a hard day's work, he cherished his time relaxing in the pool. David and Marie raised their family in the Unionville section of Farmington. Besides his wife, Marie O'Connor, he leaves behind his daughter, Dr. Ann-Marie O'Connor and son Michael O'Connor.
