Deshaun Tywaun Parkman Sr.

Deshaun Tywaun "Doo baby" Parkman, Sr., 47, of Hartford, CT, passed away on July 21, 2025, in Hartford.
Deshaun was born on February 25, 1978, in Hartford, Connecticut, to Denise Coppedge and the late Bruce. Deshaun was a proud graduate of Weaver High School, Class of 1997. He went on to work at Saint Francis Hospital as a dedicated Production Cook in the food service department. Known for his passion for cooking, Deshaun brought joy to many through his meals and his warm, generous spirit.
Deshaun was a momma's boy; known for the deep bond he shared with his mother. A lifelong fan of the San Francisco 49ers, Deshaun cherished the opportunity to attend two of their games, an experience he always held close to his heart. He proudly wore the team's hats and followed every season with dedication. He had a love for Ralph Lauren POLO clothing and took pride in his style. He also enjoyed attending the Health Wellness Men's Group conferences with My People Community Services, finding meaning and connection through those gatherings. He was deeply loved by his family and friends and will be remembered for his grounded gentle strength, loyalty, and unwavering tough love.
Deshaun leaves to cherish his memory his beloved children, Deshaun Parkman, Jr. and Tayshaun Parkman; his mother, Denise (Willard) Coppedge; his sisters Latoya (Eaton) Forrest and Shanowa (Willie) Gaye; he also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. He shared a deep bond with his closest friends, whom he proudly called HIS SONS, TJ, Lic, and Tai.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Felisha Parkman; his two brothers, Floyd Parkman and Darien DJ Hodges; his grandmother's: Rose Lee Sherfield, Rochelle Banks, and Alberta Moore; his grandfather's, Walter Daniels, Sr. and Nathaniel Parkman. Deshaun was especially close to his late aunt and uncle, Melinda Parkman and Anthony Daniels, whose memory he cherished deeply.
