Dianne Hegarty Obituary

Dianne M. (Partyka) Hegarty, 70, of Chicopee, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. She was born on June 24, 1954 in Springfield and was the daughter of Frederick and Adele (Piela) Partyka. Dianne was an elementary school teacher at Belcher School in Chicopee. She is survived by her husband of thirty-six years, Paul Hegarty, a daughter, Kelsey Hegarty of South Hadley; two brothers, Vinny Partyka of Aspen, CO and Steven Partyka and his wife, Cindy of Chicopee; a sister Doreen Senter and her husband, Scott of Georgia; a grandson, Tommy Hegarty and a life-long friend, Kathy Nadeau. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her son, Patrick Hegarty, who passed away in 2022. The family would like to thank the amazing doctors and nurses in the Heart and Vascular Critical Care Unit at Baystate Medical Center. Calling hours for Dianne will be on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home on 69 East St. in Chicopee from 4 to 7 pm. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be on Friday, May 9, 2025 at Sacred Heart Church, 395 Chestnut St. in Springfield at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harmony House of Chicopee, 66 View St. Chicopee, MA 01020.
