Donna J. Rescorl

Donna Rescorl, age 74, beloved wife of the late Robert Rescorl of Vernon, CT, passed away on September 23, 2025, in New York, with her loving daughter by her side. Donna was born in Norwich, CT, the daughter of the late Joseph and Noella (Tetrault) Hlastawa. She met her husband Robert while she was in college and he was serving in the navy; they were married 51 years. They have one daughter, Lynn O'Neill, and two grandsons, Robert and Thomas. Donna had a successful career as a nurse, working for many years at Hartford Hospital in the Emergency Department. Her roles included Nurse Manager, as well as a consultant for the Information Technology Department. She obtained a master's degree in biology while working. In her free time, Donna loved to play golf, cook, and spend time with her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Donna is predeceased by her parents and husband Robert. She is survived by her daughter Lynn, grandsons Robert and Thomas, and siblings Mary and Joseph. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 25, from 4-6 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 26, at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Church in Manchester. Burial will be held on Saturday, September 27, in Seneca Falls, NY.
