Sergeant Peterson was a steadfast member of the East Haven Police Department his entire life. he was a man of solid character, a community member, dedicated to duty, and an all around decent human being. Eddie was quietly efficient always keeping a cool head under adverse circumstances, and a man who you could rely upon and trust. He was a member of a rare breed of 'old time coppers 'Police Officers that you could always count on to perform their duties with honor and good will intentions.
I was very privileged to have had the chance to have such good men and women such as him under my command. He will be missed. God Speed

To Tina, Nicole and families: So very sorry to hear about Ed's passing. He was a bright light I always looked forward to seeing at church. Always had a kind word and a smile. May he rest in peace with Maryann and may you cherish your happy memories.
