Eleanor Bessie Amon

Eleanor B. Amon, 91, of North Haven, previously of Lebanon, CT beloved wife of the late Frederick Amon, died on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at The Hospital of Central Connecticut, New Britain. She was the daughter of the late Bessie (Stevens) and Richard Paine Clark on September 6th, 1933 in Meriden. She grew-up in Meriden, attended Meriden schools and raised her family there. Eleanor was a cook at the Meriden DMR location for the State of Connecticut prior to retiring. She loved to knit and crochet and watch UConn Women's Basketball and the New York Yankees with her little Maltese dog, Lucky. Eleanor is survived by her son, Kenneth R. Dandelski and his wife Mary (Murphy), of North Haven, and two daughters, Cheryl Dandel, of Gunnison, CO, and Linda Mansolf and her partner Daniel Hoffman of Poughkeepsie, NY. Her grandchildren; Keith Mansolf, Amy Brault (Steven Jr), Jennifer Mathieu Cervone (Michael), Jessica Conroy, (Scott), Kayla Dandelski, Michael Mathieu, Tara Dandelski. Great grandchildren; Natalie Brault, Hailey Brault, Cody Brault, and Kira Brault. And many beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Frederick Amon and daughter Karen Mathieu. She was also the youngest survivor of six siblings; Gertrude Burgess, Edna Crawford, Richard C. Clark, Theodore Clark, Henrietta Gasior, and Vivian Acabchuk. Her family will receive relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Wallingford, on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. A funeral service will begin at 6 p.m. inside the funeral home. Interment will be private at New Lebanon Cemetery, Waterman Rd, Lebanon CT.
