Frank Troiano Obituary

Frank Troiano May 7, 1940 – May 4, 2025 Frank Anthony Troiano, a warm-hearted man who treated every person he met as a friend, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2025, just shy of his 85th birthday. He had recently relocated to Bloomington, Indiana to be near his daughter, after spending much of his life in Connecticut and later California. Born in New Haven, CT, on May 7, 1940, Frank was the son of the late Michael Troiano and Raphaella Perrotti Troiano. He grew up in a close-knit family, one of five siblings, and was predeceased by his sister Anna Troiano Warwick. He is survived by his sisters Marie Troiano Vitale, Jean Troiano Abate, and Valerie Troiano Perrotti. Frank served proudly in the Armed Services and carried a deep sense of gratitude throughout his life-for his country, for his family, and for the simple joys of everyday life. He had a profound love for animals and found peace in tending to his garden, where he grew fruits and vegetables with care. True to his generous nature, he often placed his harvest on a bench outside his home for neighbors and passersby to take freely. Music was one of Frank's many passions. He found joy in singing and playing the harmonica and accordion, and he often shared his music with family and friends. He had a talent for striking up conversation with anyone he met, always ready for a long talk or a story. He especially cherished the wisdom of elders and enjoyed learning from different cultures and walks of life. Frank was a man of strong faith and deep compassion. He was a steady presence for those going through hard times, offering not just words but true friendship. He will be remembered as a kind, curious soul who made others feel heard and valued. He leaves behind his sons Steven Troiano of Northford, CT, Mark Troiano of East Haven, CT, and his daughter Michele Washel of Bloomington, IN, along with several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends who were like family. Frank's life was a testament to generosity, humility, and connection. He will be dearly missed by all who had the blessing of knowing him. All Funeral Services are private.
