Gennaro Iamunno

Gennaro Iamunno, 50, of New Haven, passed away after complications of recent illness on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at Yale New Haven Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was born in New Haven on June 2, 1975, and was the son of Antonio and Francesca Pacelli Iamunno. Gennaro was a graduate of Hamden Hall High School and later earning a bachelor's degree from Sacred Heart University. He enjoyed cooking, martial arts, playing and watching soccer, especially SCC Napoli. Loving father of Kristina, Allessia, Arianna, and Antonio. Beloved brother of Fortuna (Sam) Cruz and Jacqueline Iamunno. Gennaro is also survived by his companion Roxanne, his niece Francesca, nephews Joseph, Antonio, Yacub, many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is predeceased by his paternal grandparents Gennaro and Fortuna Iamunno and his maternal grandparents Leucio and Gioconda Pacelli. The visiting hours will be Wednesday, September 17th from 4 to 7 PM at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Bennedict of Nursia Parish at Most Holy Trinity Church, 84 North Colony Street, Wallingford on Thursday morning, September 18th at 10:00 AM to attend a Mass of Christian burial and are also invited to attend the committal service immediately following in the St. Lawrence Mausoleum, West Haven.
