Gianni I. Miranda

Gianni Isaiah Miranda, 28, of Branford passed into Heaven on April 20, 2025 after a long and courageous battle with leukemia surrounded by his loving family at Yale New Haven Hospital. Gianni was born in New Haven on April 18, 1997 son of Nicolle Voira Miranda (Kevin Wells) of Killingworth and Angel Miranda of Florida. He leaves his heartbroken and devastated family which includes his sister, confidant and best friend, Isabella Miranda, and his little brother and buddy, Blake Wells. His grandparents who loved and adored him beyond words, Roxanne Del Giudice Voira of East Haven and Romeo (Phyllis) Voira of New Haven. Loving nephew and godson of Michael (Janine) Voira and cousins, Gabriella and Rocco Voira. Also survived by his maternal great grandparents, Felix and Rose Del Giudice; uncle, Ernest (Nancy) Del Giudice; aunts, Theresa Vasso, Lisa (Kenny) Mcdonald, and Linda Santino. Additionally, uncles Michael (Rae) Voira, Isadore (Glenda) Voira and Anthony (Anna) Voira. His compassionate girlfriend, Kaitlin Fedumenti. Gianni was the first of 25 great grandchildren also a fifth-generation grandchild (maternal). He has many cousins who loved, admired and looked up to him. He was predeceased by his paternal great grandparents, Michael and Rosa Voira and cousin, Samantha Santino. Gianni was an avid and enthusiastic sports fan. He loved basketball; and in 2021, was Captain of the Year for the Coyotes. He cheered on his favorite teams, the NY Yankees and Cleveland Cavaliers. He was always a great listener and talker interested in everyone's perspective. Gianni will be deeply missed by all his loyal friends and anyone who crossed his path. He left a deep impact on all the lives he touched. His boundless curiosity and compassionate heart will be profoundly missed. Special thanks to the nurses and doctors at YNHH Smilow Cancer Center who cared for him during his last weeks of life. His funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven THURSDAY, April 24, 2025, at 12:15 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John Bosco Parish (Branford) in St. Mary Church at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
