Giovanna Farina Obituary

Giovanna Vertucci Farina, 80, of Durham passed away peacefully on Friday, August 29th, 2025 at Middlesex Hospital, Middletown with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Francesco Farina. Giovanna was born in Amorosa, Province of Benevento, Italy on June 9, 1945. She had worked at Sealy Mattress and later for Echlin for many years until her retirement. Giovanna enjoyed frequent trips to the casino, going on cruises and loved going out to different restaurants with her family for dinner. Loving Mother to Maria Prifitera and her husband Anthony, Julia Kasynak and her husband David. Beloved Nonnie to Sabrina, Joseph, Gabriella, Nico, Francesco and Gianna. Sister of Filomena Troiano and the late Anna Farina. The visiting hour will be Saturday, September 6th from 9:30 to 10:30 at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Therese Church, 555 Middletown Avenue, North Haven at 11:00 AM.
