Helen Green

Obituary Helen Elizabeth (Gripper) Green, daughter of the late Herbert and Geraldine (Pahnke) Gripper, was born in Bridgeport CT on April 06 1962. She gained her wings on August 22 2025 at Yale New Haven hospital. She was a member of Union Disciple U.F.B Church. Helen graduated from R.C Lee High school in 1980. After graduating she worked at the VA hospital where she retired in 2018. Helen was an extremely hard worker and very passionate about helping others. She loved spending time with her kids,family,friends, and especially her grandkids. She loved family gatherings around the holidays or any special occasion. She had a special relationship with everyone that was a part of her life and she loved them no matter what. She leaves behind her six children Kerry Green Jr. (Chandra), Tara Stevenson (Everette),Tiffany Green (Anthony), Akiah Stevenson, Amber Green (Alisha), and Deante' Petteway all of Waterbury CT. Her three grandkids Davion Duarte, V'ynatee Ocasio and A'Sani Green Ocasio of Waterbury CT. Her ex husband Kerry Green of Tampa Florida.Her two sisters Ida Gripper of New Haven CT and Jessie Gripper of New Britain CT. Her brother Ervin Gripper of S.C. Her bonus mom Edith McLaughlin of North Haven CT.Her two brother in laws Gary Chambers of Waterbury CT and Alexander Bell of New Britain CT,and two sister in laws Renita Laureano of Tampa Florida and Lydia Gonsalves of New Haven CT.A special cousin Lisa McKnight and two best friends Belinda Gibbs and Cynthia Robinson. A long list of niece's and nephews as well other relatives and close friends. Helen Green was pre-deceased by her parents Herbert and Geraldine(Pahnke) Gripper, her god parents Mommy Helen and Daddy Julius, three brothers Charles Johnny and Herbert Gripper, two sisters Rose Mary Gripper, and Hazel Cutten and two best friends Tammy Jones and Cheryl Washington.
