Helen McKiernan Obituary

Helen King McKiernan, 86, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 25, 2025, at her home with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of 67 years to John McKiernan Sr. Helen was born in New Haven on September 13, 1938, and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Alice Garcia King. She had worked for Bayer in West Haven for many years in quality control. Helen's greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Loving mother of John (Patricia) McKiernan, Thomas (Brenda) McKiernan, and Kathleen Peckham. Helen is also survived by eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Predeceased by her siblings Edward and Thail King, Thomas "Bud" and Alma "Bunny" King, Ann "Nancy" and Biaggio "Benny" Amendola, Alice "Sis" and Vincent Novikas. The visiting hours will be on Thursday, July 31st from 9 to 11 AM in The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A committal service will follow in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Connecticut Hospice, Branford by visiting www.hospice.com.
