Irene T. Gadzik

Irene T. Gadzik, 99, of Newington, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025. She was born in New Britain on July 27, 1926, daughter of the late Steve and Mary (Babula) Gadzik. Irene worked for many years for the Prudential Insurance Co. and volunteered her time in the New Britain General Hospital Gift Shop. She was a faithful member of St. Joseph's Church in New Britain where she was a member of the Rosary Guild. Irene is survived by two nieces and four nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Stanley Gadzik; and sister Dorothy Gadzik. Relatives and friends are invited to pay respects to Irene on Wednesday, October 22nd, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the Duksa Family Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington. Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, New Britain. She will be laid to rest with her parents and her sister in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain.
